Norske Backer tubular heating elements are often used in defrosting. Tubular heating elements are used to prevent ice formation and to thaw ice in cooling and freezer units, air-conditioning plants, compressors and outdoor installations.
We have semi-finished defrosting elements in stock for faster delivery. The defrosting elements can also be manufactured in other variants according to customer specification.

The tubular elements can be vulcanized with rubber cables. The temperature at the connector ends must not exceed 60 °C. The construction is suitable for uses such as defrosting cooling plant.

Drip tray elements
Drip tray elements are used to promote the evaporation of condensation water, e.g. from refrigeration and freezing systems. They consist of Backers’ tubular elements in stainless steel and a tight connection, normally a vulcanized terminal. Drip tray elements can be supplied for connection to one or both ends of the element. The element bends to fit the specific area of use.
To prevent ice formation
Insertion elements are used to prevent ice formation and thaw ice in systems such as cooling and freezing systems, air conditioning, compressors and a variety of outdoor equipment. They consist of Backer’s tubular elements in stainless steel and a tight connection, normally a vulcanised terminal. An insertion element can be supplied for connection to one or both ends of the element. Several elements can be connected using cables and tight connectors.
